Job Summary

The Data and Reporting Associate role will ensure the smooth operations of the database and data assets, and assist with evolving the Foundation’s management of its data management systems and processes to increase levels of accuracy, application, and efficiency. All of these efforts will have a central goal of enhancing donor communications and stewardship.

Job Responsibilities

  • Maintain the overall integrity and quality of the Stellar iPhi database and donor data portal, including auditing databases  and determining and completing an annual maintenance protocol to ensure accuracy and consistency of information and maximize uses of database to
  • Complete donor data and document transfer projects associated with the recent software transition, and help evaluate future data transfer and storage protocols
  • Assist the iPhi power users/software transition team with developing, implementing, and enforcing database business processes and protocols
  • Perform scheduled and ad hoc database imports/inputs, queries and exports to produce and create reports for use in research, data analysis, mailings, donor communications, fund establishment, donor recognition, events, and other Foundation activities and projects across departments
  • Provide supporting documents for year-end audit, tax reporting, and other data information projects such as enhanced Guidestar data reporting and Community Foundation-related surveys
  • Responsible for assigning user access, permissions, and security related to the database and donor data portal, establishing training and documentation resources for users, and troubleshooting user issues
  • Serve as point person for the management of Community Foundation iPhi software including coordination of ongoing meetings of internal work team and software provider, managing enhancement requests, and being the primary point of contact for the software customer service contact
  • Support and provide additional assistance as needed at the direction of the VP of Donor Services

Qualifications

  • Solid understanding of the principles of database management and business process workflow
  • Minimum of 2 years of work experience including exposure to database management and a fluency in generating imports, queries, and writing reports
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects and complete tasks with a high degree of accuracy, attention to detail, and sensitivity to deadlines
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office products to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and the ability to learn new applications
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Skills to work both independently and as a member of a variety of staff teams and demands from external sources
  • Ability to handle confidential, proprietary and sensitive information requiring judgment and discretion
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
