Job Summary

Mercy Multiplied, a Christian residential home for women, comprised of four U.S. homes, has an immediate opening for a full-time Human Resources Specialist at our corporate office located in Nashville, Tennessee.

Mercy Multiplied is dedicated to help young women break free from life-controlling behaviors and situations, including eating disorders, self-harm, drug and alcohol addictions, unplanned pregnancy, depression, sexual abuse, and sex trafficking. Our program is voluntary, biblically-based, and free of charge to young women ages 13 to 32. It uses proven methods, lasts approximately six months, and features a multi-dimensional approach to heal body, mind, and spirit.

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

• Plans, directs and coordinates activities concerned with the operation, repair, maintenance, and construction of facilities, equipment, buildings and grounds to minimize interruption and improve efficiency in Nashville on a regular basis, and periodically in Monroe and St. Louis locations.

• Oversees maintenance, repair, or renovation and may obtain bids for additional work from outside contractors.

• Supervises workers engaged in installing, servicing, and repairing mechanical, electrical, plumbing, painting, and structural repairs.

• Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists employees in solving work problems.

• Supervise or oversee workers engaged in ground maintenance activities, such as mowing lawns, trimming hedges, removing weeds, etc. 

• Inspects facilities or reviews inspection reports to determine repairs, replacement, or improvements required.

• Conducts mechanical and general repairs on the Mercy vehicles as needed, or contracts it out, when necessary.

Qualifications

Reports to: Director of Administration & IT     

Education: Must have a high school diploma or pass a general educational development test (GED).

Skills: Experience in operations, maintenance, and construction activities, project management. Knowledge of building operations and engineering systems. Detail oriented and analytical. Proven record of providing excellent customer service. Strong interpersonal skills and problem-solving ability. Excellent communication skills. Must be willing to work flexible hours. Dependable and able to work without supervision. Intermediate computer skills in Windows-related programs. Must have a thorough understanding of, and dedication to, the vision of Mercy Multiplied, along with demonstrated Christian work ethics.
