What Is This Job All About?

  • This is a mission-driven position that is responsible for supporting the fundraising, marketing, outreach, and public relations effort of the Advancement Department.
  • Providing support to the Advancement Department in organizing and executing fundraising events including the Franklin Classic race, golf tournament, and Fall fundraising dinner.
  • Assisting with researching vendors and other resources to drive event success.
  • Working with volunteers, event chairs, and committees to bolster engagement.
  • Assisting with donation requests, donor recognition, engagement with event sponsors, and other logistics and responsibilities associated with events.
  • Tracking attendance at meetings, recording meeting minutes, delegate event tasks and manage volunteers during event, follow up as needed to engage volunteers to move the mission and goals of Mercy forward.
  • Maintaining a calendar of outreach activities, including community meetings, health fairs, workshops, and appearances.
  • Coordinating with health providers and patient support staff to execute outreach events.
  • Developing and executing donor solicitation activities via email, phone, and direct mail. Utilize CRM software to track and manage fundraising efforts.

What We Need from You:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, High School Diploma required.
  • At least one year of experience in a nonprofit setting, office administration, communications, marketing, or related field.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office.
  • Experience planning events is a plus.
  • Ability to utilize software to track process and information flow (Google Docs, Microsoft Office).
  • Excellent written, verbal and listening and organizational skills.
