Dynamic Teaming & Managing Group Conflict (Online Learning)

Registration is closed for this event

Facilitator: Leigh Ann Roberts

Leading, managing, and facilitating group discussions is, potentially, the most important leadership and professional competency.

(READ THAT LINE AGAIN.)

Organizations and collective communities today are trying to name, define, and solve highly complex issues and problems. This effort requires skill and intention to be effective. Professionals who are effective in this area understand and appreciate that big problems and issues can only be addressed by harnessing the cognitive diversity that is present in diverse stakeholder groups. Whether that is a collective impact effort, a cross-organizational collection of department representatives or a new program team, professionals today need strategies that prepare for and address very predictable pitfalls of group process and conflict. This workshop is an experiential training to provide participants with tools needed to form dynamic and resilient teams. For professionals looking for new tools to engage diverse participants and support their teams to durable decision-making, this class is a must.

Learning Objectives:
•    Reflect on individual personal style in addressing conflict
•    Learn how to anticipate and avoid predictable pitfalls of group process especially in difficult conversations
•    Understand emerging and time-tested best practices for teaming and group facilitation

Note: This workshop can be used as an elective for all CNM Certificate programs requiring additional electives for completion.
