At CNM, we're all about amplifying the impact of local nonprofits, and a key part of that mission is celebrating organizations for their hard work in the community at our annual awards ceremony, Salute to Excellence. For the past 26 years, community and nonprofit leaders in Middle Tennessee have gathered together for a night of recognition and celebration at the Center for Nonprofit Management’s Salute to Excellence, the largest nonprofit awards ceremony in the country. Salute brings together more than 1,100 local business, community, and nonprofit leaders as they honor organizations in 13 distinct categories of service. Finalists in each category will receive recognition for their ongoing hard work in the community, and the night’s winning organizations will take home cash prizes totaling $250,000.

2019 marks the 27th year of recognizing the outstanding Middle Tennessee nonprofits and their leaders by applauding their hard work and commitment to make our community a better place to live and work. Over the years CNM has honored more than 500 nonprofit award finalists and awarded more than $3 million to excellent nonprofits.

Hear from past Salute to Excellence award winners:

“Winning a Salute to Excellence Award was a huge goal for us at Gilda’s Club Middle Tennessee! It lifted our sights and opened the door to new audiences for our free cancer support program. Above all, we were thrilled to celebrate our non-profit community and be recognized amongst our peers.” -Hayley Levy, Director of Development for Gilda's Club of Middle Tennessee, 2018 Winner for KraftCPAs Board Member of the Year

“We were shortlisted for two awards in 2018 and one of the unexpected consequences was the way in which Salute to Excellence raised awareness of our mission and programs among philanthropists in Nashville. That became apparent during our Annual Fund campaign in the weeks following the Awards dinner, when we received a surprising number of new donors giving at a significant level.” -Harriet Warner, Development Director for Crossroads Campus, 2018 Finalist for The Frist Foundation Awards of Achievement - Innovation in Action and Revenue Development
