Job Summary

Objective: To implement strategies that develop resources for the CYMT community – residents, alumni, past and present initiative participants and partner ministries – that conversely resource the greater ministry community. To support CYMT grant program initiative’s goals and objectives through supervision, business planning, and resource development efforts.

Supervision: The Senior Director of Resource Development will report to the Executive Director

The Center for Youth Ministry Training equips leaders and communities of faith to develop innovative, effective, and theologically informed ministries so youth may experience the love and grace of Jesus Christ, leading to identity and purpose. The CYMT accomplishes this mission through three primary initiatives: the Graduate Residency in Youth Ministry, in partnership with Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary; Theology Together; and the Innovation Laboratory. CYMT was created in 2006. 

Job Responsibilities

Resource Development:

  • Develop a resourcing plan that furthers the mission and supports all CYMT programs and initiatives 
  • Create and manage resource production calendar and systems including:
    • Project Timelines
    • Author agreements and compensation
    • Editorial work
    • Design and layout arrangements
    • Collaboration with Marketing Team
    • Distribution methods
  • Work with the Marketing Team to develop effective marketing and sales strategies that produce income streams for CYMT with the goal of 150% ROI on all product resources
  • Develop effective modalities for equipping leaders beyond print/digital content:
    • In-person events
    • Webinars
    • Asynchronous courses
  • Recruit, develop, and manage a team(s) of authors and content producers that include CYMT Alumni 
  • Ensure that distribution methods and systems are in place for all resources

 

Initiative Oversight and Support:

  • Supervise grant project directors to ensure that the goals and objectives of each project are accomplished by:
    • Providing clarity, accountability, support, and encouragement
    • Helping develop and implement a business plan for sustaining each project
    • Provide product development support to all initiative efforts
    • Current initiatives include:
      • Innovation Laboratory
      • Theology Together
      • F3 – Faith Forming Families
  • Provide development support for all initiative resource development efforts

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of church or non-profit related business development, marketing, or strategic leadership
  • Passion for the mission of CYMT 
  • Proven track record of business development and sales growth
  • Proven connectional capacity with ministry leaders and organizations
  • Proven ability to manage projects from conception to completion
  • Effective relational and logistical skills
  • Grant writing experience
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage others
