Job Summary
Nurses for Newborns of Tennessee Nursing Supervisor provides clinical and administrative support to our nursing staff while working closely with our Nursing Director and Program Manager. This position will also provide services to a minimal number of home visiting clients of at-risk infants, providing education promoting healthcare and positive parenting skills.
Our mission is to reduce infant mortality, child abuse and neglect. By going into the homes of these babies and their families, we are working to make sure all babies make it to their first birthday. As our Nursing Supervisor, you will make a direct impact on Middle Tennessee families that is meaningful and rewarding.
Job Responsibilities
Our Nursing Supervisor will be available as a resource to home visiting staff regarding policies, clinical guidelines, database management, screening instruments, resources, and other clinical questions. This is a full-time, exempt, salaried position with benefits. Training on Nurses for Newborns’ model of care will be provided.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited RN program (Associate Degree, Diploma, or BSN)
- 5 years’ experience in maternal/child health or 3 years’ experience in NICU/Special Care Nursery
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse through State of Tennessee or NCSBN (National Council of State Boards of Nursing) required
- 1-3 years supervisory experience required
- Adept at using technology and charting in electronic medical record
- Have an automobile and current driver’s license with valid automobile insurance
