Position Summary:
The Residential Program Coordinator is a hands-on leadership role responsible for overseeing the daily operations, staff supervision, and regulatory compliance of BrightStone’s residential homes for adults with disabilities. This individual plays a vital role in ensuring that each home is safe, nurturing, and aligned with BrightStone’s mission to provide a life of purpose, joy, and dignity for every resident.
This position requires a flexible, emotionally intelligent leader who can inspire teams, navigate family dynamics with compassion, and respond confidently to urgent situations. It combines administrative oversight with an on-the-ground presence and the ability to build strong, trust-based relationships with staff, residents, and families.

Job Responsibilities
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Serve as primary point of contact for family communications and residential inquiries
- Coordinate resident admissions and intake process in collaboration with Day Program Coordinator
- Provide oversight of daily activities, medication protocols, and ISP implementation
- Maintain licensing compliance and lead preparation for annual audits
- Maintain documentation for medication, fire drills, training, and resident files
- Track residential program budget with Director of Programs approval
- Share rotational on-call coverage for after-hours residential emergencies
- Support culture of teamwork, accountability, and person-centered care
- Supervise Full-Time Home Managers, Relief Staff, and Volunteers; lead hiring, performance
reviews, and staff training
Scope of Authority:
May independently resolve routine staffing concerns, schedule changes, and family inquiries. Major decisions regarding hiring, disciplinary action, budget adjustments, or escalated family matters require Director of Programs approval.
Schedule & Physical Demands:
This is a full-time, salaried role requiring flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and participate in rotational on-call coverage. The Coordinator must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, assist with mobility, and provide hands-on support within the homes when needed.

Qualifications
Qualifications:
Education: A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a human services field (e.g. social work, psychology, special education, health care administration). A Master’s degree is preferred.
Experience: A minimum of 3–5 years of experience working with adults with disabilities in a residential or community-based setting.
Leadership: Proven ability to supervise, coach, and motivate staff. Direct experience with hiring, scheduling, evaluations, and team development is required.
Technology: Proficiency in software applications for documentation, scheduling, and compliance
(e.g., Therap, Microsoft Office).
Other Traits: High emotional intelligence, strong conflict resolution skills, ability to work collaboratively with families and professionals, team-building orientation, and enthusiasm for BrightStone’s mission.

Qualifications:
Full-time BrightStone employees are eligible to receive 80% employer paid medical insurance and 100% employer paid vision. Paid leave including 15 PTO days, 5 paid holidays, and additional time off during 5 weeks when offices are closed throughout the year (this position may require some working hours during these periods).
