Kathryn Swanton serves as CNM’s Senior Manager of Marketing and Special Events. In her role, she leads CNM’s marketing and communication strategies related to member engagement, media relations, branding, advocacy, community/partner events, and promotion of CNM’s programs and services. Kathryn also directs CNM special events, including Salute to Excellence, CEO and YNP networking groups, and community town halls. Additionally, she supports fundraising efforts, including developing sponsorship benefits packages and cultivating diverse funding sources.

After launching her career in sales and hospitality marketing, Kathryn officially joined the nonprofit sector in January 2020 as a contractor supporting our Membership and Development departments. In February 2021, Kathryn was promoted to Manager of Marketing and Special Events and loves getting to work alongside local nonprofits who are passionate about growth opportunities in Tennessee and celebrating its diverse communities.

She is a proud New Yorker who is passionate about aligning Corporate Social Responsibility to further economic and social good. Her passion for multicultural relations was sparked during her time at Nazareth College, where she received a Bachelor’s Degree in International Business and a Minor in French Studies, followed by a Master’s Degree in International Marketing Management from The University of Leeds Business School in the United Kingdom.

You’ll often find Kathryn looking for unique items at antique shows and thrift shops or dressing up her pets for family photos. Her passions include square dancing, traveling, volunteering, rock concerts, and cultural events.
