Kathryn Swanton serves as CNM’s Senior Manager of Marketing and Special Events, where she channels her passion for sharing CNM’s brand with the broader community to connect nonprofits to CNM’s services.

She is a proud New Yorker, who is passionate about aligning Cultural Anthropology and Corporate Social Responsibility to further economic and social good. Her passion for multicultural relations was sparked during her time at Nazareth College, where she received a Bachelor’s Degree in International Business and a Minor in French Studies, followed by a Master’s Degree in International Marketing Management from The University of Leeds Business School in the United Kingdom.

After launching her career in sales and hospitality marketing, Kathryn officially joined the nonprofit sector in January 2020 as a CNM contractor supporting our Membership and Development departments. In February 2021, Kathryn was promoted to Manager of Marketing and Special Events and loves getting to work alongside local nonprofits who are passionate about growth opportunities in Tennessee and celebrating its diverse populations. In Kathryn’s new role, she oversees our social media, networking events, and leads our communication strategy with CNM members, corporate funders, and local grantmakers.

You’ll often find Kathryn looking for unique items at antique shows and thrift shops or dressing up her pets for family photos. Her other passions include square dancing, traveling, volunteering, rock concerts, and cultural events.
