David Moore

David Moore is an accomplished non-profit executive with over 20 years of experience in the sector leading projects, teams and organizations to consistently produce results. As an executive and consultant to leadership teams David has:

– Developed executive leadership staff into teams focused on results, providing coaching and support for staff development and outcome focused management.

– Designed and executed large and small group facilitations for national organizations – including senior leadership retreats and network engagement sessions of 300 participants.

– Provided disciplined leadership planning to non-profit organizations to solidify plans and keep teams focused on organizational missions.

– Coached and facilitated executive leadership on strategic direction and management challenges.

Prior to starting Moore Strategic, David was the Senior Vice President, Programs at the National Academy Foundation where he oversaw the full program of the National Academy Foundation ensuring consistent alignment to strategic priorities and disciplined focus on producing outcomes.

As a Partner at Collaborative Communications Group, David built a consulting practice working with local school districts, education and national non-profits to strengthen efforts to provide quality education for all children.

At the Forum for Youth Investment, as COO David stabilized the operational and management structure of this national youth advocacy organization. He served as Director for Community Initiatives at the Harwood Institute a national non-profit managing a team of project managers working to strengthen education and democratic practice.

Recent and current work includes: launched and implemented a cradle-to-career initiative in Collier County, Florida; facilitation and strategic planning for citywide/cross-sector anti-poverty initiatives in Michigan and Ohio; strategic planning for a statewide consortium of public education foundations
