Position Description
This AmeriCorps Member should have an interest in youth education and empowerment, value the lived experience of youth, and be able to develop a trauma-informed lens to better understand and effectively serve program participants.
The Youth Empowerment Curriculum and Evaluation Leader will expand Edgehill Neighborhood Partnership’s curriculum to include adolescent boys and to incorporate emotional intelligence, leadership development, and academic support.
You will leave your service term with skills in curriculum development, facilitation, youth empowerment, program design, and capacity building.

Job Responsibilities
Responsibilities
- Design engaging curriculum for expanded program to serve young men
- Recruit new students for the expanded program
- Coordinate marketing for the new program
- Facilitate the youth program
- Develop an evaluation tool and gauge program effectiveness
Typical Day In This Position
This is a new role, requiring self-motivation and focused planning. You will spend part of your day focused on administrative details and part of your day facilitating youth programming with a group of young men.
Service Schedule
Monday-Friday 2 p.m. – 6 p.m.
Qualifications
Competencies
Members should have experience with or the willingness to develop competencies in these areas:
(1) Working with individuals from diverse backgrounds
(2) Working with young men ages 12 – 18
(3) Interpersonal, organizational and conflict resolution skills
Key abilities include:
(1) Excellent written and verbal communication skills
(2) Using good judgement and maintaining professional behavior
(3) Good attendance, punctuality, and enthusiasm for your work
