The Boys & Girls Clubs of Middle Tennessee is looking for staff for after school employment. We are seeking part-time youth development associates, in all locations, with the ability to lead youth of all ages in activities such as physical fitness, arts and crafts, technology, creative educational experiences, community service, recreational games, career discovery, health and wellness, and MORE! We are offering competitive wages and do not require you to work weekends or late evenings. This is the rewarding position you have been pursuing!
Job Responsibilities
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Maintain close, daily contact with Club staff, volunteers, members, (youth), to receive / provide information, discuss issues, explain guidelines and instructions. Instruct, advise, and counsel *Maintain contact with external community groups, schools, members’ parents, and others as related to the program.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
*High school diploma or GED
* Knowledge of computers at beginning level of Microsoft Office
* Excellent communication skills
*Ability to motivate youth and manage behavior problems
*Ability to organize and supervise members in a safe environment
* Must pass a background check
Preferred Qualifications:
*Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree, or Certification preferred, or working toward degree in related field
* Knowledge of youth development
* 1 to 2 years of experience working with children and/or youth
* CPR and First Aid Certifications
