Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and inspiring Writing Facilitator to join The Adult Authors Workshop (AAW). As a Writing Facilitator, you will play a pivotal role in guiding and empowering adults with varying writing interests and abilities through an engaging and enriching workshop experience. Your passion for writing, teaching acumen, and ability to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment will contribute to the success and growth of our participants.
Job Responsibilities
- Facilitate differentiated instruction through power writing, icebreakers, and a writer’s workshop.
- Evaluate student learning and engagement based on student performance.
- Research, coordinate, and manage instructional content for lesson plans.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Creative Writing, Literature, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
- Proven experience as a writing instructor, workshop facilitator, or writing coach.
- Exceptional writing skills and a deep understanding of various writing styles and genres.
- Enthusiasm for working with adults of diverse backgrounds and skill levels.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to provide constructive feedback sensitively.
- Ability to create a welcoming and inclusive learning environment.
- Organizational skills to manage workshop materials, schedules, and participant progress.
