Job Summary

Nashville Public Television (NPT) seeks an experienced Video Editor.

Job Responsibilities

Works independently and collaboratively to provide NPT with creative, efficient, high-quality post-production and editing. Provides editing services by operating non-linear edit systems to creatively assemble video/audio elements into completed segments and/or programs. Also occasionally operates electronic studio production equipment, including cameras, graphics and monitoring equipment.  Executes post-production projects by creatively selecting and composing visual elements to tell compelling stories for television and digital platforms. 

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree preferred.  Minimum three years of experience in video editing on non-linear edit systems. Thorough understanding of post-production equipment and techniques. Demonstrated skills in non-linear editing.  Graphics and animation experience a plus. Experience with Photoshop, After Effects and Adobe Premiere. Computer literacy required.
