Job Summary

The Treatment Specialist is a member of the Healing Housing Treatment Team who will work closely with the Program Treatment Coordinator to help clients of Healing Housing overcome substance abuse, and to obtain and maintain sobriety. 

Job Responsibilities

  • Administer intake screening and assessments
  • Administers random drug screens and breathalyzers.
  • Enter data into Healing Housing’s One Step software that includes all relevant information for participants and the program in general
  • Demonstrates ethical behavior and cultural sensitivity in all activities involving individuals of diverse backgrounds
  • Instruct client classes as advised and determined by Program Treatment Coordinator
  • Document clinical notes and activities within required time
  • Maintain confidentiality of all clients protected information and adhere to all related policies and procedures
  • Perform other tasks/responsibilities as required to support the Program Treatment Coordinator
  • Oversee a case management load of up to 8 women
  • Attend Training Sessions and continuing education courses coordinated and scheduled by the Program Treatment Coordinator and The Executive Director
  • Provide data relating to each participant’s attendance at group and individual treatment sessions and other relevant treatment information to the treatment team on a weekly basis
  • Assist, communicate with and oversee staff changeover between 5 – 6p.m. 
  • Periodically oversee and/or lead Tuesday night clinical workshops from 6 – 8p.m.
  • Interacts appropriately with all visitors, family members and volunteers
  • Stays in communication with referral partners
  • Conducts random room searches
  • Assist with coordination of safety drills

Qualifications

A minimum High School diploma is required, and a bachelor’s degree is preferred along with licensing, or be in the process of obtaining licensing, as either a LADAC, LCSW or other equivalent counseling degrees.
