The Women’s Fund is an endowed initiative within our Foundation dedicated to empowering women and girls in Middle Tennessee. Through grantmaking, education, and advocacy, The Women’s Fund supports long-term solutions that create meaningful community impact.
Position Overview:
The Women’s Fund Manager is responsible for advancing the mission of The Women’s Fund along with the Girls Give Initiative. This full-time role focuses on organizing impactful events, managing grants and donor engagement, and supporting the Women’s Fund Board and fundholders within the Girls Give Initiative. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, experience in non-profit management, fundraising, or community development, and the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders effectively.
Job Responsibilities
What You’ll Do:
Program & Grant Management:
- Oversee annual grantmaking activities, including coordinating committees, reviewing applications, and ensuring alignment with community needs.
- Foster relationships with grantees, providing oversight of program evaluations.
Event Coordination:
- Plan and execute signature fundraising, education, and engagement events such as Power of the Purse, The Women’s Fund Forum, and grantee celebration events.
- Manage logistics, sponsorships, and volunteer coordination to ensure event success.
Fundraising & Donor Engagement:
- Develop and implement annual fundraising strategies for The Women’s Fund and Girls Give Initiative.
- Grow donor engagement through personalized outreach, campaigns, and collaborative efforts.
Board Support:
- Facilitate Women’s Fund Board operations, including meeting organization, strategic planning, recruiting, and onboarding new members.
- Support board engagement through training, communication, and collaborative projects.
Marketing & Outreach:
- Collaborate with the Communications Team to enhance marketing efforts and raise awareness of The Women’s Fund’s impact.
- Represent The Women’s Fund at external events and initiatives.

Qualifications
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience in nonprofit management, fundraising, or organizational strategic planning
- Experience with event management, volunteer relations, or community development
- Flexible schedule to manage or attend events outside of office hours
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills to manage multiple priorities
- Strong people skills with a service-oriented approach and the ability to engage diverse audiences
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, 365, and Internet applications; ability to quickly learn new software and online tools
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; comparable experience considered
