Job Summary
As a summer teaching assistant, qualified individuals work with children in a preschool environment inside and outside throughout the day. Teaching assistants support our lead preschool teachers with keeping our children safe, managing classroom environment and behavior, assisting with transitions, playground supervision, and working with children in group and one-on-one settings.
This is an ideal summer opportunity for college students home for the summer or individuals who want to pursue this as an opportunity to then move into a co-teacher position after the summer months.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide care for children in the preschool setting
- Assist lead teacher as needed throughout day
- Provide for physical care and safety of children
- Demonstrate care, compassion, and respect for all children
Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- 18+ as required by the Department of Education
- Passion for children
- Excellent communication skills
