Job Summary
Seasonal, part-time Summer Camp Counselor for our Power Youth program
Job Responsibilities
Primary Duties:
– Oversees a group of 5-8 campers, Grades 9-10
– Implements Moves and Grooves behavior system with ability to motivate youth and manage behavior problems.
– Responsible for deducting and giving MAG Moola$ for student incentives.
– Excellent communication skills. Maintains open communication with families. Get to know your campers and their families.
– Connects and mentors campers. Be fun and engaging.
– Leads engaging activities with campers in a safe and organized environment
– Manage transition times between activities. Help campers stay engaged in dance and academic activities
– Attends and supervises campers on field trips. Take attendance, make sure campers stay well hydrated.
– Attends parent orientation.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
– Positive, fun, and helpful personality
– Must have minimum 1 to 2 years’ work experience with young children in a group setting
– Must pass background check and fingerprinting
– High school or equivalent required, must be at least 18 years old
– First Aid and CPR Certification preferred (training available)
