Job Summary
This service is designed to manage the financial affairs of SSI or Title II beneficiaries who are unable to handle their own finances due to disabilities. The Coordinator prepares reports for the Social Security Administration such as payee accounting reports, CDR reports, and disability update reports. Responsibilities include responding promptly to requests for information related to client funds, regularly reporting program performance data to agency leadership. The Coordinator regularly receives and makes calls regarding sensitive information. Job duties require strong organizational, interpersonal, decision-making, and problem solving skills.
Job Responsibilities
This Representative Payee Coordinator will be responsible for their own caseload to include enrolling new clients into the database, establishing client budgets, completing and submitting client applications to the Social Security Administration. Electronic records of all client transactions and monthly expenditures must be maintained. Working closely with agency financial staff the Coordinator approves bills and disbursements for prompt payment.
Qualifications
Graduation from an accredited high school supplemented with additional coursework or experience in maintaining spreadsheets and databases. More than three years’ experience in social work required. College level courses helpful.
Additional requirements include clean background, driver’s license, and reliable transportation.
