Job Summary

Tennessee Kidney Foundation (TKF) is a nonprofit organization focused on empowering and supporting individuals at risk or affected by kidney disease, and its vision is a Tennessee where the rate of kidney disease is minimized and everyone who needs care receives care. Providing innovative and life-sustaining prevention, education, and direct assistance programs in a 42-county service area, TKF is a vital community resource. TKF staff members work collaboratively as a team to ensure that inclusion and compassion for clients and the public are at the center of their work.

The Special Projects Assistant position is a temporary role, offered for a minimum of 90 days with longer tenure possible. After a period of 90 days, Tennessee Kidney Foundation management will evaluate and determine the length of the position extension if the position will be extended. The Special Projects Assistant will work on projects as assigned, up to 40 hours per week. A timesheet to track work hours will be maintained daily and submitted to the supervisor three business days prior to the payroll dates of the 15th and last day of each month or as requested.

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • Assist with data entry using Excel, Salesforce, and Apricot software systems.
  • Provide support for the generation of programmatic reimbursement invoices and reporting.
  • Facilitate invoicing process for sponsorship payments.
  • Collaborate with Administrative Coordinator and Director of Development to process event donations, pledges, sponsorship payments and distribution of acknowledgements to complete event close-out tasks.
  • Assist with volunteer coordination and outreach for scheduled community events.
  • Respond to general information phone calls and emails.
  • Provide general office support to CEO and Director of Development as needed.
  • Complete packaging and mail preparation for disbursements of program assistance provided to dialysis and transplant patients.
  • Contribute to writing, editing, and audience segmentation for Emma email and social media campaigns.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 1-3 years of general office experience, with data entry and management experience a plus
  • Experience handling confidential matters professionally and with discretion
  • Excellent project and time management skills
  • Cooperative and communicative work style

Availability Requirements:

  • Office hours are 9am to 5pm Monday – Friday
  • Work is a hybrid model with in-person work required on Tuesdays and Thursdays
  • Must have reliable transportation

Hourly rate range starting at $20.00 per hour, based on experience.
