Nashville Public Radio’s new NPR music discovery station, 91.One, WNXP, reflects the vibrant, creative pulse of our diverse city.

We are seeking an experienced Social Media Specialist for part-time, contracted work. 

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • Managing day-to-day posting, publishing and listener engagement on WNXP’s social media accounts
  • Content creation for all social platforms including copywriting, social videos, memes, gifs, graphics, etc.
  • Identifying trends, relevant news and other opportunities in the social media space. Maintain awareness and understanding of emerging social media platforms and best practices.
  • Developing creative social campaigns focused primarily on increasing listenership, as well as growing web traffic and station loyalty.

Qualifications

Experience/Skills/Qualifications:

  • Minimum of three years of experience managing social media accounts
  • Basic graphic design knowledge
  • Basic photo and video editing ability
  • Strong copywriting skills
  • Extensive knowledge of all social media platforms
  • Knowledge of Nashville’s diverse music and culture scene and the music genres played on WNXP  is a must

Additional Information

Benefits

This position requires 20-25 hours per week. This is a part-time, remote position that pays $1,500/month.
