Job Summary

Nashville CARES is seeking an experienced, creative, and motivated Social Media and Marketing Specialist to join our Development team. In this role, you will be responsible for implementing our marketing & social media strategy with the goal of growing our online presence and improving marketing efforts. This position will report to the Director of Marketing & Communications.

Job Responsibilities

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage social media accounts and create original, high quality content on various platforms including, but not limited to, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and LinkedIn
  • Manage Google My Business listing for Nashville CARES, My House and My House Clinic
  • Manage reviews on all social media platforms and Google My Business
  • Measure the results of social media campaigns and adjust strategy based on findings
  • Define most important social media KPIs
  • Work with Department leadership and team to develop, implement and manage social media strategy across all of our brands
  • Stay up-to-date with latest social media best practices and technologies
  • Create graphics for social media and additional marketing content
  • Adhere to legal rules and regulations on all platforms
  • Keep abreast of the latest social media best practices and technologies
  • Present insights, trends, analytics and KPI dashboard regularly to the Development team and leadership
  • Monitor SEO and user engagement and suggest content optimization for websites
  • Work with Marketing Director to produce advertising content and collateral across agency programs
  • Assist in expanding the Marketing Committee’s efforts to build community brand awareness
  • Create and manage social media advertising campaigns

 

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in marketing, social media or a similar role
  • Expertise in multiple social media platforms including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn and Google Ads
  • Experience creating organic posts, deploying, monitoring and managing social media and paid social media ads
  • Understanding of current social media trends, platforms, and dashboards
  • Understanding of SEO and web traffic metrics
  • Social media advertising knowledge, including campaign creation, management and metrics reporting
  • Must be able to work on multiple projects concurrently
  • Creative and critical thinker with a passion for helping others
  • Strong project management skills including the ability to coordinate and balance multiple projects in a time-sensitive environment, under pressure, and meeting deadlines
  • Demonstrated familiarity with computers and MS Office software (Outlook, Word) and effective time management and organization skills
  • Valid Tennessee Driver’s License, vehicle, and automobile liability insurance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Media, Communications or related field with emphasis on social media and other digital channels
  • Experience with creative tools such as Canva, InDesign, Photoshop, etc
  • Good understanding of social media KPIs
  • Command of social media workflow, monitoring and measurement tools
  • Basic graphic design experience (Photoshop/Illustrator)
