Job Summary

To provide service management, advocacy, support, crisis intervention, safety planning, and assessments to survivors of domestic violence and their families.

Job Responsibilities

Direct Services: Provides assessments, advocacy, safety planning, crisis intervention, and community resources to survivors of domestic violence and their families. Oversee activities and ongoing needs of the shelter. Understands policy and implements it accordingly. As needed/assigned, facilitates support/education groups for victims. Attend trauma-informed training and/or staff meetings as deemed necessary. Complete agency annual training. Oversee activities and needs of the shelter.

Administrative: Answers hotline calls, and assists victims with required paperwork and program intake. Provides information and referrals to other agencies.

Reporting: Documents client interactions and crisis interventions into database software.  Communicates shift details with team members.

Qualifications

Must be a competent professional with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, maintain confidentiality, have the ability to take initiative, manage conflict, be culturally sensitive, be team-focused and collaborative, and have the ability to clearly/objectively document information in a timely manner. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize immediate needs, and allocate time efficiently.
