Job Summary
Nashville Public Television (NPT) seeks a Senior Producer to create, produce, and post-produce long and short-form content for on-air and digital distribution. Hands-on experience in production is a must for this position.
Job Responsibilities
Conceptualizes, creates, and plans available resources to produce long and short-form programs, program segments, spots, and other production projects. Creates and develops program concepts in collaboration with programming, development, digital, and community engagement teams. Prepares proposals, treatments, and scripts. Executes approved projects in an effective and creative manner by creating, selecting, and combining audio and visual elements into an effective television presentation.
Champions inclusion and creates content that respects and reflects the rich diversity of NPT’s audience. Actively participates in community engagement efforts around content throughout the production process. Adapts to changing methods of content creation to maintain high standards and serve the overall mission of NPT.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree. Five years of increasingly responsible experiences in television and/or digital production involving studio, remote, field production, and post-production activities. Demonstrated creativity, writing skills, and leadership. Experienced in Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro. Computer proficiency (Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Forms or Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Forms). Demonstrated graphic design, illustration, and animation are preferred. Demonstrated experience building an audience on-air or online is preferred.
