Job Summary

Responsible for oversight of SAFE Clinic (Sexual Assault Forensic Exam), SARTs (Sexual Assault Response Teams), sexual assault state hotline, and direct advocate services to meet the needs of sexual assault victims/survivors through coordination and collaboration with community partners.

Job Responsibilities

Supervises: SAFE Clinic Coordinator/Administrator, Advocate Services Manager, and Statewide Crisis Line Coordinator   

  • Oversee 24 hour SAFE Clinic and coordinate collaborative care and response with community partners.    

 

  • Oversee advocacy programs including direct services, outreach, volunteer programs Medical Accompaniment Program [MAP] and Public Policy Advocates and Incarcerated Survivor Correspondence Program. 

 

  • Oversee SART Coordination, which includes direct coordination of the Davidson County SART. 

 

  • Oversee statewide crisis line including following best practices, ensuring staff coverage and proper training is provided. 

 

  • Supervise and SAFE Clinic Coordinator/Administrator, Advocate Services Manager, and Statewide Crisis Line Coordinator, activities include recruitment, onboarding, support, performance evaluation, and professional development.   

 

  • Ensure services are trauma informed, culturally responsive, and consistent with best practices. 

 

  • Work collaboratively with community partners to ensure optimal functioning of the clinic and SARTs. 

 

  • Model interdepartmental collaboration.  

 

  • Manage government and private grants that fund SAFE Clinic, advocacy services, crisis line and SART coordination.  Activities include identifying developing and implementing new projects, managing budgets and evaluating current projects.     

 

  • Speak publicly about SAC’s mission and services.  

 

  • Ensure data is collected for program evaluation and available for immediate requests, maintain records, complete reports, and measure results. 

 

  • Other duties assigned. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, Masters preferred. 

  • Supervisory experience required. 

  • Experience working within diverse communities required. 

  • Experience working with sexual assault victims/survivors and/or systems/organizations working on behalf of sexual assault victims/survivors preferred. 

  • Experience working in or with health care setting preferred. 

  • Experience working with government systems preferred.  

  • Bilingual preferred.

  • Utilizes good judgement to navigate uncertainty and conflict. 

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). 

  • Ability to navigate electronic record keeping systems.
