Job Summary

Training

¨Take parents (or other trainees) through the sequentialed RIP Parent Classroom Training manual

¨Give feedback on Classroom Training assignments

¨Model appropriate RIP techniques in the classroom to newly trained parents

¨Conduct monthly classroom meeting with classroom trained parents

Preparation:

¨Get case note sheets, count sheets, SST sheets, sticker charts, and program sheets ready for each night the child participates. Mark logs as appropriate

¨Put old case note sheets in the child’s case note folder, reading over them to keep updated

¨on the children.This should be done daily, before each time the child is scheduled for

¨program

¨Unneeded papers with family names on them should be shredded and recycled for confidentiality reasons

¨Full count sheets should be given to the case manager for that family.

Other:

¨Make sure classrooms are in order – everything in place ready for program.

¨Put supplies that are needed in the bins:glue, crayons, scissors, etc.

¨Make sure you have enough supplies for all children to be able to participate (it is better to have too much than too little).

¨During program, make sure things are going as smoothly as possible, trouble shoot, help parents out, get supplies, model for parents, etc.

¨Adult data collection is also done during program, feedback, and remediation training when needed

¨Check classrooms for needed supplies (stickers, etc.), and orderly condition of materials (puzzles, toys in cabinets, etc.) on a regular basis.Provide supply list to Coordinator.

¨Weekly checking of puzzle box cabinets

¨Make sure snack trays, and SST toys are picked up

¨If you have extra time, ask your supervisor if there is anything you can do to help her/him.

¨Training videos and books are also available, but should be used to fill your time only when the above duties and responsibilities are completed.

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to work 12-20 late afternoon/evening hours per week.

Qualifications

EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma/GED required. Must be eighteen (18) years old. Knowledge and experience in working with young behavior disordered children and their families helpful. Previous training in the RIP model is preferred.
