Job Summary

Respite Residential Staff are needed for “occasional work” on week-night overnight shifts or weekend shifts to fill in for regular staff taking vacations, sick time or holidays.  We are looking for women with a heart and passion for seeing the broken restored. 

Note:  Due to the special sensitivities of our unique population, this position is open to women only. Survivors of trafficking, with a minimum of 5 years post residential treatment, who have received counseling for trauma and are at a stable, healthy place in life are encouraged to apply. Individuals in recovery with a minimum of 2 years sobriety also encouraged to apply.

Job Responsibilities

Through servant-leadership and role-model example:

  • Desire to serve women in recovery from trafficking, trauma, substance abuse
  • Set the tone for a loving, caring community of support and growth; be available and approachable to residents for support and assistance while in the home.
  • Uphold and Direct applicable RSM Policies & Procedures and the RSM Residential Handbook
  • Maintain a living environment of safety, cleanliness, and order with shared responsibilities in accordance with RSM policy
  • Manage the Medication Process for residents according to the RSM Medication Management Policy & Procedure as directed by the Residential Manager.

Qualifications

Week-Day Evening Shift (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday – 5:00 pm – 9:00 am one to two nights per week on occasion)

  • Mature, responsible female with a vibrant Christian witness
  • Desire to serve women in recovery from trafficking, trauma, substance abuse
  • Confidence to handle role of authority within a loving community of support and mutual respect
  • Ability to work alone, follow direction and uphold written and verbal training
  • Ability to respond to crisis and/or escalated behavior calmly and with confidence
  • Ability to facilitate domestic tasks like meal preparation/cleanup, assist residents with personal needs, and generally be a supportive presence in a home environment
  • Available to work in Lebanon, Tennessee from the hours of 5:00 pm – 9:00 am one to two nights per week on occasion (ability to sleep from approximately 11:00pm to 6:00 am)
  • Able to provide own transportation with proof of liability insurance necessary to transport passengers if needed; or to drive agency vehicle
  • Available to attend a 4 hour training session on-site prior to being hired
  • Experience/education in Social Work, Counseling, Residential Programs or related a plus

Weekend/Holiday/Vacation Respite Shifts

Same qualifications as above, but available for “occasional work” on weekend shifts or to fill in for regular staff taking vacations, sick time or holidays.  Recruiting a pool of people willing to be trained and ready for these special called assignments.
