Job Summary
Responsible for shelter and clients during second shift.
Job Responsibilities
Answer crisis line
Complete shelter intakes/exits
Provide supportive counseling and crisis intervention with clients
Provide daily case management with shelter residents
Supervise and train Weekend Women’s Advocates
Respond timely to requests from Court Advocate
Follow-up daily with day and overnight staff
Assist in training new employees and respond to their follow-up needs
Facilitate training and updating of Apricot data base system
Responsible for the timely input of statistical data
Responsible for the timely compilation and monitoring of statistical reports
Network with outside social service agencies
Provide transportation as needed
Assist with in-kind donations (food, clothing, etc.)
Responsible for inspection and upkeep of facility
Responsible for security of facility
Maintain the day-to-day flow of shelter operations
Provide timely and appropriate response to a Crisis Intervention Request
Attend weekly staff meetings
All other duties as needed
Qualifications
Valid Driver’s License
Automobile Insurance
Pass Criminal Background Check
The ability to interact in a positive manner with the program participants addressing behaviors through creative problem solving
The ability to work as a team using direct communication skills
Supervisor Skills
Organizational Skills
Attend 40 hours training annually
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Computer Skills
Flexibility
Ability to lift and carry 20 lbs.
High School Diploma, GED, preferred education or field experience
Reports to Exec. Dir.
