Mercy Multiplied exists to provide opportunities for all to experience God’s unconditional love, forgiveness, and life-transforming power. Mercy’s Residential counseling Program is voluntary, biblically-based, and helps young women ages 13–32 break free from life-controlling issues and situations, including anxiety, depression, abuse, eating disorders, self-harm, addictions, unplanned pregnancy, and sex trafficking. These residential services are offered free-of-charge. The Mercy Multiplied Center for Wellness and Counseling is Mercy’s free-of-charge Outpatient counseling Program for men and women aged 13 and older. Our Outreach Services train and resource men and women to effectively support and minister to those who are hurting and struggling through workshops, videos, podcasts, discipleship teaching, and other practical resources.

Job Responsibilities

In the Residential Assistant, Weekends position, you will be responsible for but not limited to the following:

 

Administrative

  • Monitor weekend schedule and activities; ensure Programmatic Expectations are followed
  • Supervise the completion of Household Details during the Weekend Shift; check resident rooms for cleanliness and make sure beds are made and blinds and doors are opened before breakfast
  • Home phone coverage
  • Monitor residents’ weekend phone calls using Approved Contact Lists
  • Distribute mail (letters) to residents using Approved Contact Lists
  • Fill in for the Residential Supervisor as needed
  • Other duties as deemed necessary by Residential Supervisor, Program Director, and Director of Home Operations

 

Resident Support

  • Direct and report resident crises to Residential Supervisor
  • Facilitate resident requests and concerns
  • Document and report notable resident interactions in the Weekend Report; communicate with pertinent Home Staff
  • Must be responsible for safe transportation of residents, as needed
  • Sign residents out/in for pass
  • Conduct nightly room checks at “lights out” and at random
  • Prepare Home security for sleep hours and outings

 

Medical Department Assistance

  • Medication dispersion for OTC needs, morning medication, and evening medication
  • Conduct Weigh-ins when scheduled by Medical Services Manager and/or Nutrition Manager
  • Document and log all medication transactions and interactions on MARs sheet and ETO database; communicate with pertinent Home Staff
  • Transport residents to urgent care/emergency room when deemed necessary by On Call Staff

Qualifications

Education: Some college preferred; must have a high school diploma or pass a general educational development test (GED).
