Job Summary

The Texas Regional Donation Center (RDC) Warehouse Coordinator is responsible for overseeing product processing and volunteer operations in the Texas Regional Donation Center. The position includes communicating all transportation and shipping needs both to and from the RDC. This location is in a shared warehouse so this also requires someone that upholds a friendly and professional relationship with the warehouse partners.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Greet, support, and motivate shoe drive volunteers when coordinating and assisting with drop-offs
  • Serve as a public face for S4S in the RDC by interacting with staff, donors, and volunteers with a high level of professionalism and service
  • Communicate an in-depth knowledge of S4S’ mission & operations
  • Supervise most volunteer groups and individuals working at RDC location
  • Provide a fun and memorable experience to all S4S donors and volunteers
  • Assist the RDC Manager in coordinating volunteers using various outlets, shoe pairing, truck loading and additional activities
  • Respond/schedule individual volunteer inquiries & assist RDC manager with group scheduling
  • Maintain trash and recycling
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked warehouse free from hazards
  • Order all supplies and keep a specific log of costs for the warehouse P&L statement
  • Serve as lead staff on monthly truck loading days includes loading 25,000 lbs of shoes with assist from Director of Operations, Texas
  • Control and manage inventory maintaining high levels of accuracy in day-to-day operations and weekly reporting to Director of Operations, Texas
  • Assist with prep work and count of physical end of year and midyear inventory
  • Coordinate, arrange logistics, and perform larger pickups of shoes and needed supplies from surrounding cities
  • Provide impeccable & reliable customer service to donors, volunteers, and visitors who come to the RDC
  • Report all warehouse maintenance, up-keep, and repairs to the VP, Product Management
  • Operate forklift
  • Keep blue bins presentable & help keep relationship with bin hosts
  • Operate and maintain maintenance of work vehicles
  • Participate in agency, team and department meetings as assigned; adhere to all agency policies and protocols
  • Work alongside Texas Director to plan, schedule, and lead volunteer groups
  • Other duties as assigned by the Vice President, Product Management

Qualifications

  • Outgoing personality with a knowledge and passion for the Soles4Souls mission and microenterprise
  • Ability to multitask while staying organized, excellent time management skills
  • Volunteer management background preferred; ability to educate and excite potential donors and volunteers
  • Strong decision making and problem-solving skills; flexibility is critical since this is a new and growing position
  • Ability to build & maintain strong relationships; adapt to donor needs and energize donors in partnerships
  • Ability to think independently & critically with an entrepreneurial spirit
  • Strong work ethic is essential coupled with dependable delivery of quality results
  • Current driver’s license incumbent upon driving mid-sized transportation vehicles for shoe pickups; additionally, use of personal vehicle may be needed for shoe pick-ups
  • Ability to lift 50lbs & comfortable with major warehouse maintenance
