Program Manager (Donor Engagement, VUMC Development)

The Program Manager’s main responsibility is to plan, develop and execute annual operations and programming for VUMC Advisory Boards. The three main areas of work for the Advisory Boards are: operations, meeting management, and communication.

Job Responsibilities

The Program Manager reports to the Senior Director and works closely with Donor Engagement team and other colleagues on the Development team, as well as, across the VUMC enterprise on this work and other key Donor Engagement programs and events.

This is a full-time job. Some evening and weekend work will be required.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent experience) (Required)

3 years relevant experience (Required)

Preferred Qualifications

Three to five years relevant experience in development or fundraising, project management, and event planning and/or administrative experience.

Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

Knowledge of Smartsheet and Ellucian Advance database is desirable.

Ability to perform and coordinate multiple projects and priorities on a regular basis independently.

Superior oral and written communications skills.

Strong interpersonal skills and an excellent customer service attitude.

Candidate must have the capacity to perform in an intellectually rigorous and complex academic and medical environment.

Effective time management and organizational skills.

Ability to work independently and successfully in a collaborative team environment.

Ability to handle sensitive donor and patient information in the strictest confidence, according to departmental and institutional policies.
