Free of charge to everyone, Gilda’s Club Middle Tennessee, an affiliate of the Cancer Support Community, provides a gathering place where people with cancer, as well as their families and friends, can join with others to actively build social and emotional support as a supplement to regular medical care. Our evidence-based program includes support groups, healthy lifestyle workshops, mind-body classes, social activities, educational lectures and community resource information. Offering approximately 60 professionally led support and networking groups, and over 50 educational workshops and lectures every month, Gilda’s Club Nashville is able to make a tangible difference in the lives of those impacted by cancer. We build community, so no one has to face cancer alone.
We are currently seeking a licensed mental health professional, oncology experience a plus, with master’s degree or higher to join a richly experienced clinical team.
20 hours per week at $25/hour, totaling $26,500 for the year. Work hours are negotiable, at least one evening a week is required.
- Must be multitasker with a flexible attitude and comfortable with the uncertainty that working with people affected by cancer can bring.
- Must value cultivating relationships, be authentic and compassionate, display appropriate boundaries, and be proficient in applying self-care.
