Job Summary
The Homework Hotline Program Coordinator is a critical member of the team. The Program Coordinator will ensure the quality of Homework Hotline’s programs through the following responsibilities:
- Organize and maintain tutor programming day-to-day operations
- Evaluate and support program efficacy through volunteer and data management
Job Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain weekly tutoring schedules
- Determine staffing plans to achieve program goals and objectives and participate in
hiring decisions for new tutoring staff - Recruit, coordinate, train, and manage volunteers
- Support community engagement efforts by maintaining school/community
organization contact lists and attending school/community events - Organize distribution of annual promotional materials and other campaigns as needed
- Support marketing development for social media and electronic communications
- Maintain email distribution lists for internal and external communications
- Coordinate and analyze the appropriate data to inform the programmatic and
the operational decision-making process and reporting to school district partners - Support oversight of Homework Hotline’s tutoring program through data collection and analysis
- Ensure the delivery of qualitative and quantitative goals and outcomes of the Homework Hotline
Qualifications
- Passion for Homework Hotline’s mission and purpose
- Experience working in nonprofit, education, or a similar setting
- Willingness and comfort to support Monday – Thursday 4 pm – 8 pm call center hours as needed
- Working knowledge of program planning and administrative operations
- High comfort level with technology and multitasking
- Ability to work well with diverse populations
- Demonstrated experience managing a high-performing team (including both virtual and in-person staff and volunteers) *Preferred
Additional Information
Benefits
Part-time employees are not eligible for healthcare or PTO benefits.
However, staff may work flexible hours, hybrid/virtual. Additionally, our call center follows the Metro Nashville Public School System calendar and is closed during student breaks, on holidays, and in inclement weather (according to the school system). The call center is not open on Fridays.
