Job Summary

Musicians On Call (MOC) brings live and recorded music to the bedsides of patients in healthcare facilities. The Program Coordinator is a full-time, non-exempt position responsible for coordinating Bedside Performance Programs and hospital partnerships within their assigned cities as well as supporting the Program Team with all volunteer-related needs. The Program Coordinator will coordinate all volunteer onboarding, uphold all volunteer and prospective volunteer experience, and support all volunteer engagement efforts on a national scale. The Program Coordinator will also work with the Senior Director of Programs and Program Team to implement the new technology-focused program delivery model of Musicians On Call. This position will report to the Senior Program Manager and will be based out of Nashville, TN.

 

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

Bedside Performance Program

  • Oversee program and hospital relationships in assigned markets such as D.C., Baltimore, Chicago, and Raleigh
  • Serve as the liaison between volunteers and hospitals in assigned markets
  • Identify new ways to increase impact and elevate program experience for hospitals and patients 
  • Manage and regularly update applications, records, and statistics through Salesforce and MOC’s Portal
  • Coordinate volunteer events special visits in assigned markets

Volunteer Onboarding

  • Screen all volunteer applications for quality and suitability as they’re submitted
  • Onboard new volunteers, assist with program placement, and communicate any changes or updates to volunteers in a timely manner
  • Coordinate volunteer onboarding renewals and facilitate updates to the Learning Management System

Volunteer Experience

  • Maintain MOC values and company culture with all volunteers, nationally
  • Manage and respond to general volunteer inquiries, nationally and support the team with general volunteer needs
  • Maintain volunteer relationships by coordinating all volunteer Facebook groups, volunteer surveys, the monthly volunteer newsletter, supporting the team in planning volunteer events, and updating interested volunteers on waiting lists
  • Oversee volunteer milestones and frequently engage with volunteers through emails and phone calls
  • Track program feedback and testimonials and relay issues to leadership as they arise

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications Required:

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Disciplined self-starter who can set and achieve goals with a passion for and interest in learning more about the nonprofit world
  • Ability to prioritize projects, meet deadlines, manage several projects simultaneously and work well under pressure

  • Ability and willingness to travel overnight as needed
  • Ability and comfort with working onsite at hospitals
  • Computer literacy and knowledge of Google Workspace required; CRM familiarity preferred

Education/Training:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience within nonprofit, music industry, radio, healthcare, or related field(s)
  • Experience in a healthcare setting, knowledge of HIPAA and infection control policies is preferred
