Job Summary
Nashville Public Television (NPT) seeks a Producer. Works independently and collaboratively to provide NPT with creative, efficient, high-quality content that educates, inspires and engages our community.
Job Responsibilities
Provides producing services by planning, implementing and managing content at the highest standard. Writes scripts, plans and organizes shoots, tracks deliverables and manages assigned projects to timely completion. Works with hosts, talent and community participants with utmost editorial integrity. Champions inclusion and creates content that respects and reflects the rich diversity of NPT’s audience. Actively participates in community engagement efforts around content throughout the production process. Works collaboratively across NPT’s production, digital and community engagement teams. Seeks to improve content delivery, consistency and communication across departments.
Adapts to changing methods of content creation to maintain high standards and serve the overall mission of NPT.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree preferred. Minimum three years of experience producing broadcast content for television. Strong writing skills. Additional experience in editing is preferred. Ability to transport and utilize equipment weighing up to 35 pounds as needed.
