The primary patient population is the uninsured and underserved in Middle Tennessee, including Nashville’s immigrant and refugee populations. Job Responsibilities

The President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) is responsible for the successful leadership and management of Siloam Health and will cast vision and strategic direction for the organization in partnership with the Board of Directors while also looking ahead and monitoring opportunities, trends, and threats both internally and externally. As the organization’s primary spokesperson, along with the Board Chair, the President and CEO will ensure that Siloam is represented at relevant community, state, and national gatherings, associations, and professional groups and serve as an ambassador for Siloam and its patients in the broader community. The next President and CEO will effectively develop and steward resources to fulfill Siloam’s mission. Demonstrating working knowledge of the financial, professional, and institutional dynamics and policies relevant to a nonprofit organization providing health services for Nashville’s uninsured, the next President and CEO will be charged with overseeing the development, evaluation, and improvement of Siloam programs.

As President and CEO, this leader serves as an ex officio member of a 20-person governance Board of Directors, which meets quarterly to act on proposals and work done by the seven committees. The President and CEO directly supervises an Executive Team of 5 and provides mentorship and guidance to the C-level leaders in Operations, Finance, Medical, Development, and Community Health. The President and CEO oversees all operations of a $7M budget with 65 full-time staff, 6 part-time staff, roughly 300 volunteers annually, and 2 clinical locations.

Qualifications

Some ideal/preferred attributes include:

  • Executive leadership experience in health care, government, and/or nonprofit organizations. Experience in public policy and/or advocacy preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years progressive experience in leadership and management, with documented ability to manage teams diverse in race, gender, and nationality.
  • Undergraduate university degree required. Advanced degree in health professions or a related field (MHA, MBA, MPH, MTS, etc.) or clinical credentialing (MD, RN, PA, etc.) preferred.
  • Strong analytic and strategic-thinking skills, with a demonstrated ability to create, implement, and monitor complex plans and then translate those plans into goals and concrete strategies.
  • Experience in fundraising and development skills needed to ensure charitable funding of the organization.
  • Knowledge of current community challenges and opportunities relevant to the mission of Siloam, whether in Nashville or a similar, growing, community.

Compensation for this position has recently been benchmarked by the Board and KEES and is in the fair market range. This position offers a competitive salary with strong benefits.
