Job Summary
The People Experience Partner contributes to the company’s performance by providing strategic and tactical consulting on people and organization development in support of the business objectives. This position performs Human Resources related duties while supporting employees and supervisors for assigned groups. This position carries out responsibilities for the entire employee life cycle including the following functional areas: talent acquisition; onboarding; employee relations and conflict management; policy interpretation and application; compliance, recordkeeping, and documentation; payroll, benefits, and compensation management; safety and risk management; performance management; career development initiatives and training; organizational development and offboarding. Job Responsibilities
- Formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflect the business objectives and strategies of the organization.
- Coaches supervisors on employee relations issues, disciplinary action, policy interpretation and application, talent management and development, organizational development, and talent acquisition.
- Performs talent acquisition for assigned groups, makes referrals to hiring managers, and ensures timely efficient turnarounds.
- Grows and cultivates network to identify, source, and ensure a robust, qualified, and diversified candidate pipeline. Leverages all available sources and opportunities to identify and recruit “best in class” talent through digital and social engagement, network referrals, recruitment campaigns, job fairs, etc.
- Facilitates an enjoyable, informative, and comprehensive candidate experience, including selection, interviews, reference feedback and evaluations, offers, background checks, and candidate onboarding.
- Creates and maintains clear and accurate documentation and reports while ensuring the information is processed appropriately and efficiently for all payroll actions, benefits administration, and HRIS administration.
- Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues and conducts effective, thorough, and objective investigations
- Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to the day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Actively implements changes and best practices of human resources techniques to compete in the market and within the industry.
- Analyzes trends and metrics to develop solutions, programs, and policies.
- Actively contributes to HR strategic plan deliverables and projects, under the direction of the Vice President.
- Evaluate issues, patterns, and trends to provide proactive insights for HR solutions and program designs (i.e., professional development/ training curriculum to address certain needs).
- Manages special projects/ programs assigned to the People Experience Partners (e.g., DEIB Recruiting Strategies, Harvest Wellbeing, Career Development Guide, Professional Development/Training Curriculum, Safety/DOT Compliance, etc.).
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma (or equivalent) required. Bachelor’s Degree in related areas preferred. PHR or SHRM-CP active certification (or ability to obtain certification within 2 years of employment) required.
Experience: 5+ years of related experience and/or training required, which must include 2+ years of experience in managing and creating recruitment strategy (OR) and 2+ years in organizational development, training, and learning strategy. Working knowledge of multiple human resources disciplines preferred, including talent acquisition, diversity, compensation practices, payroll and benefits, organizational development, performance management, training and talent management, employee relations, and federal and state-respective employment laws. Paycor (HRIS) experience preferred.
Candidates evaluated for experience levels range from Level 1 to Level 4, with pay commensurate with experience level.

Other requirements: Our pre-hire process requires acceptable results from the following: professional reference feedback, criminal background, and Motor Vehicle Record. A current Driver’s License and automobile insurance are also required. Criminal backgrounds are evaluated on a case-by-case basis considering several factors (timing, frequency, severity, and job relation).

Compensation & Benefits: Second Harvest is proud to offer rich and affordable total compensation packages. Full-time employment includes:
- 12 Sick Days & 15 Vacation Days Accrued per year (accruals increase according to length of service schedule) and 10 Paid Holidays
