Job Summary
A Peer Support Specialist works within Mending Hearts’ Peer Support Community within our Phase I and II program levels. Responsibility for monitoring and ensuring that residents’ transition into our community is smooth. Working with the residents in Twelve Step groups, transports residents as required to outside meetings and appointments–such as medical, dental, legal. PS follows established policies and procedures, and educates the residents on the same. Documentation of all meetings, groups and transportation in EHR is required.
We have muliple positions avaliable both full and part time, therefore days and times vary.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Candidates with LADAC – preferred must be willing to obtain within 2-years of hire)
- Peer Recovery Certification preferred (must become certified within 1-yr of hire.)
