Job Summary
Knowledge of and experience working with clients who have mental health and/or behavioral challenges. Part-time hours ranging 16-20 hours/week.
· Experience in developing strength-based treatment and/or behavior plans and in skill building.
· Proven commitment to the system of care principles and to working effectively as a part of a team.
· Excellent organizational, written, communication and problem-solving/creative thinking skills.
· Excellent collaboration, customer service, and leadership skills.
· Demonstrated ability to work independently and efficiently.
· Strong knowledge of psychopharmacology and psychotherapy.
· Active Healthcare Provider CPR Certification.
Job Responsibilities
Duties & Responsibilities/Principal Activities:
· Assess, plan, develop, implement, and evaluate an effective and efficient treatment program that will appropriately meet the needs of clients utilizing best care practices, industry standards, organizational guidelines, appropriate accreditation standards, and applicable federal laws, including HIPAA.
· Collaborates with colleagues to formulate evidence-based treatment plans for acute and chronic psychiatric disorders.
· Prescribes medications following agency policy, within formulary regulations, and in compliance with state regulations.
· Provides patient education regarding medications, risks, benefits and reasonable outcome expectations.
· Communicate with clients and engage in follow-up as needed.
· Completes required documentation in EHR per agency policy.
· Collaborates as needed with other resources within TNV and community.
· Communicate with outside healthcare providers and agencies in accordance with HIPAA standards.
· Administer Long Acting Injectables
· Provide guidance and leadership in Crisis Situations.
· Participate in monthly supervision with the Medical Director.
· Provide on-call support when needed during emergencies.
· Provide support for other PMHNP-BC’s across the agency.
· Ensures treatment services conform to CARF standards applicable
· Comply with State, Federal, Payor, and Board of Nursing regulations and guidelines.
· Attend required meetings and trainings.
· Autonomously maintain and update licensures and certifications, and provide renewals to HR.
· Personal Compliance with all TNV Policies and Procedures.
· All other duties as appropriate and as needed that are essential to the grant operations and basic client care but not necessarily included within description of responsibilities.
· Must have a valid driver’s license and proof of current auto insurance. Will require travel to the Jackson, TN office once a month.
Qualifications
Qualifications: Current board certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC). Active and unencumbered RN license, NP license, and DEA license. Two years of experience in the mental health field preferred. Non-profit organization experience and work history across the lifespan also strongly preferred.
