Job Summary

TIRRC seeks an enthusiastic outreach coordinator to maintain all community outreach activities related to immigration services and policy. The Outreach Coordinator will work with the Legal Team to develop and implement initiatives that increase TIRRC’s visibility within the surrounding community and represent TIRRC in community education workshops and spaces.

Job Responsibilities

Legal Services Support

  • Assist with outreach efforts to promote immigration legal services and identify potential clients; 
  • Assist in creating training materials for community members and staff; 
  • Help update & maintain Know Your Rights materials;
  • Help update & maintain our resource guide for legal referrals;
  • Assist in maintaining up to date naturalization, TPS, DACA, and other resources;
  • Help create & implement workshop curricula and trainings; 
  • Help create community education plans for breaking news as it relates to immigration policy;
  • Assist with community education around campaigns led by TIRRC;
  • Create outreach materials for events, meetings, and workshops;
  • Data entry, case management, and member follow up, including connecting clients to TIRRC’s other programmatic work.

Organizational Support​​​​​​​

  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development;
  • Ensure all data is maintained in the organizational database.

Qualifications

  • Belief in TIRRC’s mission and experience with social justice;
  • Experience working in immigrant communities preferred;
  • Strong communication and presentation skills;
  • Ability to be very organized, work on deadlines, and juggle multiple priorities;
  • Ability to work sensitively with communities who have diverse personalities, lifestyles, cultures, and faiths;
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including some nights and weekends;
  • Fluency in English required and another language preferred;
  • Must have reliable transportation.

Benefits

Salary Range: $40,000-$42,000
Benefits: Full-time TIRRC employees are eligible to receive medical, dental, and vision insurance with 100% of the medical employee premium covered by TIRRC, participate in a 401K retirement plan, and receive 24/7 access to an Employee Assistance Program. In addition, TIRRC provides paid leave including up to 15 vacation days, 13 paid holidays, and 3 weeks paid sick leave in an employee’s first year and 6 weeks of paid parental leave.
