Job Summary
Nashville Tree Conservation Corps has a mission to promote, preserve, protect, and plant the urban tree canopy of Nashville, TN. We are looking for a process oriented individual with a passion for our mission to help manage the day-to-day administrative and operational tasks of the organization as well as handle customer service and tree related issues in our mailbox. The ideal candidate is someone who can work 30 hours a week who has some experience handling eCommerce retail and/or is knowledgable about trees. This job’s dynamics change depending on the season. In the spring and summer, the role is focused more on planning and organizing and during the fall and winter months, the job is focused on managing the logistics and customer service of hundreds of tree deliveries happening.
Job Responsibilities
Manage the delivery of 400-800 tree deliveries with sub-contractors during the fall and winter months
Answer 10-20 emails every week related to trees, our mission, and/or customer service generated from retail activity
Mantain and potentially expand retail activities within the organization’s website
Manage the organization’s basic administrative needs such as filing taxes and other forms periodically
Attend monthly board meetings and produce minutes for the organization
Qualifications
Experience working with Microsoft Excel spreadsheets
Excellent customer service experience
Knowledge about trees and the environment
Process oriented mindset and approach to problem solving
Someone comfortable working in a horizontal working structure; someone who can make self-empowered decisions; ingenuity and creativity
