Job Summary

This individual is responsible for managing the coordination of American Job Center services to include providing formal and functional supervision to American Job Center Staff and partner programs.  The individual in this position directly supervises the One Stop Operator. A major component of this position involves supervising the One Stop Operator to create staffing plans, ensuring coordination of partner programs and providing means to meet common operational needs for the American Job Centers throughout the Southeast Local Workforce Development Area.

Job Responsibilities

This position works under the direction of the One Stop Administrator and is responsible for ensuring the timely completion of required paperwork for Mid-Cumberland Workforce Services, the Local Workforce Development Board and the State of Tennessee.  Meticulous attention of detail must be given to all paperwork, forms and training development materials.

Qualifications

  •  Graduation from an accredited four-year college/university in Human Services or related field
  •  Excellence in oral, written, and computer-based communication skills
  •  Ability to utilize technology to enhance the range and quality of workforce development services to job seekers and businesses of the Local Workforce Development Area
  •  Extensive knowledge of the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act and American Job Center One Stop legislation
  •  Excellence in computer software applications including word processing, data base management, spreadsheet management (such as Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel) and extensive knowledge of the state VOS system
  •  Prior experience in working directly with diverse and priority of service populations
  •  Experience in writing grants, RFPs, and other applicable research experience
