Title: Office Intern (Nashville, TN Based)
Reports to: Development Assistant Start Date: Open until filled
Commitment: 3-month internship; 10 hours/week
Position Purpose
The office intern will provide general administrative and office support to the U.S.-based Nashville team. S/he will help maintain donor systems, update constituent records, process donations, issue receipts, and conduct grant and partner research as needed. Intern will support finance processes, donor relationships, donor database, human resource systems, office management, editing and communications, scheduling, and run occasional errands. This 3-month, unpaid internship provides exposure and experience to non-profit infrastructure including HR and recruiting, Finance, Development, Board relations, Communications, and Research and Learning as well as experience with a variety of sector-specific platforms including donor databases, Google Docs, Mail Chimp, and Dropbox.

 

Job Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Administrative

  1. Manage donor entries into donor management system, 1-2x/week and assist with monthly reconciliation processes
  2. Coordinate, , track, and mail donor acknowledgement letters
  3. Edit and disseminate quarterly mailings
  4. Support administrative systems for day-to-day operations in the U.S. office
  5. Become proficient on all office systems, such as: organizational filing system, expense tracking, donor database, processing deposits, Dropbox, Google docs, etc.
  6. Attend Team Meetings
  7. Write, track, and mail donor correspondence

Development

  1. Update constituent information in database and email platforms
  2. Conduct donor research, as needed
  3. Assist with planning and implementation of fundraising events, as needed other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree preferred.
