Job Summary
This position will work with other staff members in the planning and execution of ministry goals and objectives as well as assist pastors and ministry directors in their efforts to serve the congregation and community. These responsibilities include weekly Sunday service logistics management and ongoing administrative support to achieve Koinonia’s mission.
Job Responsibilities
- Sunday Service Assistance:
A. Register weekly online and in-person attendance using database management
system
B. Compile congregational prayer requests and distribute them to prayer team members
C. Ensure printed materials are available and set up prior to service including
assisting in updating the weekly bulletin
D. Coordinate communication of weekly announcements in service or by video
E. Work with congregation members to maintain a calendar of rotating service
participants
F. Coordinate volunteers for Sunday Services i.e. Hospitality Team, Hosts, Ushers - Office Administration and Ministry Support:
A. Take meeting minutes at weekly staff meetings and distribute pertinent
information to ministries
B. Manage office and church supplies inventory
C. Coordinate communication of building/facility issues with deacons and property
management
D. Assist Pastor and DM in calendar management
E. Utilize Project Management Tool for coordination of church events and ministries
F. Support Pathway Coordinator and Director of Family Life positions in coordinating
events and services
G. Assist ministries such as Birthday notices, Shepherding Team, and Volunteers groups
with forms and contacts through the Planning Center and MailChimp
H. Liaison with appropriate committees for planning and execution of special events
with congregation and community engagement - Assist the Shepherding Team with scheduling, communications, and access to
congregation through the Planning Center - Collaborate with ministry leaders for communications from the congregation and
community members.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in human/social services or business administration is highly valued
- Certifications or completed courses in Emotional Intelligence, organization dynamics, team building, etc. highly valued
Experience
- Must have administrative experience
- The volunteer organization is highly valued.

- Communicates effectively both verbally and in writing
- Basic Microsoft Office skills required
Requirements
- Membership at the Koinonia is desired
- The workweek includes weekly Sunday prep and worship services.
- Commitment to diverse representation in the hospitality and worship ministry as it pertains to ethnicity, age, and race of participants and volunteers
- Background Check and Child Protection Training
- Valid driver’s license
