Job Summary
Job Summary: The Membership Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Associate Membership Manager with implementing a wide range of membership programs. The Membership Coordinator processes new and renewing memberships, fulfilling member benefits, and responding to member inquiries.
Job Responsibilities
The following duties are normal for this classification. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.
Essential Job Functions:
- Responds to member inquiries via email, phone, and fax in a prompt and professional manner while keeping the best interests of the organization in mind;
- Assists in database management including batching daily membership gifts, updating constituent information, and maintaining integrity of the database;
- Assist with processing new and renewing membership gifts and coordinates distribution of member benefit materials;
- Maintains accurate records on membership, including acknowledgements, mailing lists, membership lists for publications, and other reports as needed;
- Coordinates the printing and mailing of membership cards;
- Supports Associate Membership Manager and Assistant Director of Development, and is thoroughly knowledgeable with membership services, benefits, and policies;
- Assists with creation and maintenance of department electronic and paper files;
- Provides backup for other projects and activities;
- Liaises with Guest Services regarding membership-related projects and processes;
- Performs other duties as assigned or requested.
Qualifications
Education/Experience: B.A. / B.S. degree, or equivalent professional/leadership training in the field. Previous customer service experience. Exposure to working in an office environment. Previous customer database experience (special emphasis on Altru or Tessitura).
