Job Summary

Summary: This position is responsible for creating and overseeing the branding and marketing strategies and plans to help generate revenue and maintaining a positive public image for Mercy.

Job Responsibilities

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Design & create marketing materials, website updates, and donor materials. Manage graphic design for materials and orchestrate Mercy’s social media presence. Responsible for corporate messaging development and distribution. Manage and assist the team in maximizing membership potential with various local, regional and national memberships, associations and affiliations (Chamber of Commerce, FQHC, etc.). Prepare and manage marketing collateral and other materials as needed, Ghost write articles on behalf of Company/key employees and ensure proper distribution and content of internal and external messages. Prepare new business materials including RFQ/RFP responses, new business meeting pitch and prep, presentations, etc. Develop branded materials as needed: PowerPoint Template, RFQ and other supporting Materials. Act as the last point of contact with Company deliverables before they are published/distributed ensuring all formatting, aesthetics and content are inline with Company standards and expectations. Ensure documents and marketing materials are current, accurate and properly reflect the brand and desired messaging.    

Provide leadership and supervision to the Business Development department including hiring, talent management, goal setting, counseling, discipline, reward and recognition, etc.

Proactively generate ways to advance the Company’s brand in industry trade publications, digital media, speaking opportunities, conference participation and other forms of advertising. Develop relationships with local media and build a contact database. Actively market and promote Company news and project development, community outreach activities including formal press release distribution, article development / pitch, social media, etc.

Continually evaluate the marketing and public relations strategy for effectiveness. Develop and implement measurements and tracking to evaluate the effectiveness of programs and processes. Create the annual marketing plan/budget and implement the annual public relations and marketing plan.



Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or Business Development required. Master’s degree in related field preferred.

Experience: Five years of marketing or public relations experience required. At least 2-3 years of supervisory experience required. Experience in healthcare or non-profits preferred. Working knowledge of FQHC, Patient Centered Medical Home preferred. Must be proficient using social media and e-marketing platforms and MS Office.
