Job Summary

NMAAM is seeking an energetic, experienced Marketing Administrative Assistant. The Marketing Administrative Assistant in this fast-paced, team environment supports the marketing team with planning, executing, and tracking marketing programs, and with the development of new marketing strategies.  Responsibilities require advanced level of MS Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word), internet research skills, and superior verbal and written communications skills. Responsibilities also include analyzing data to monitor campaigns and evaluate results, creating and managing the production of marketing collateral, helping with the organization of events, and providing project-specific administrative support. In addition, the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced changing environment, and a willingness to engage in periodic evening/weekend activities will be important.

Job Responsibilities

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Supports the VP and the marketing team with planning, implementing, and monitoring marketing campaigns.
  • Assist with the production of marketing materials and collateral.
  • Help organize and coordinate marketing events such as conferences, webinars, and trade shows.
  • Evaluate data and create reports on key metrics in order to monitor campaign effciency and analyze trends.
  • Write and edit content for different platforms such as social media, website, and press releases.
  • Provide administrative and project support for a variety of marketing programs.
  • Assist in the planning and implementation of special events.
  • Participates in meetings or events as needed.

Qualifications

Experience and Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of training and relevant work experience.
  • Three or more years of administrative experience with one plus years of experience in marketing
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Superior organizational and time management skills
  • Knowledge of relevant marketing tools and applications is a plus
  • Strong understanding of nonprofit organizations and familiarity with community issues.
  • Experience in supporting and communicating with CEO and/or Board of Directors.

  • Experience in handling confidential information and maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information.

All Staff Duties:

  • Serves as leader to assure strong communications between NMAAM and all external constituents.
  • Actively seeks to learn the history of NMAAM.
  • Supports and promotes the museum’s mission.
  • Assist in the planning and implementation of special events.
  • Attend staff meetings.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
