Marketing and Social Media Manager



Job Summary

FiftyForward is looking for a highly motivated, creative self-starter who is interested in an opportunity to grow in a fast-paced environment to join our team!

As the full-time Marketing and Social Media Manager at FiftyForward you will help influence our voice in the community, manage and oversee social media channels, and play an integral role in engaging the community in our valuable programs and services.

The  Marketing and Social Media Manager reports to the CEO and oversees the agency’s marketing and social media efforts. The manager will work with the agency directors to gather program information and craft appropriate messages that will engage older adults and donors and encourage participation in our lifelong learning centers and supportive care services.

Job Responsibilities

Job responsibilities:

  • Develops and implements annual marketing plan, strategies, and goals to increase awareness and promote the agency’s programs, services and events
  • Helps develop annual marketing budget to include advertising for agency programs and centers/center activities
  • Working with leadership, oversees and/or develops radio, print, and other advertisements (limited in-house production)
  • Creates quarterly donor electronic newsletter and semi-annual written newsletter
  • With information gathered from center directors, compiles, creates and emails monthly electronic newsletter to center membership
  • Regularly evaluates all marketing channels and provides opportunities to improve membership engagement
  • Tracks performance and marketing campaign data
  • Manages all social media accounts and platforms, creates schedules and timelines, posts appropriately to increase awareness and involvement in center and program activities
  • Monitors social media trends and technology used to inform and develop over-arching annual social media strategy to promote the agency’s mission and engage constituents
  • Works with directors to create specific social media campaigns to promote special agency events and drive business activities
  • Engages with donors/followers when appropriate and during online events
  • Tracks metrics and usage patters on all platforms to improve and maximize streams/views and engagement


The successful candidate will have:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of the latest social media technology and an understanding of marketing strategies and brand tone of voice
  • Demonstrated strong communication skills, particularly written
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret data to improve engagement and marketing
  • Proven track record of executing creative ideas into successful projects
  • Creative mind that is comfortable producing real-time content across various social media platforms
  • A passion for serving people and a willingness to embrace the mission of FiftyForward
  • Demonstrated support of equity and inclusion of all individuals
  • Bachelor’s degree in mass communications, advertising, marketing or related field
  • At least 4 years of experience in digital content, marketing, and social media-based roles

Other important information you should know:

  • Position is full-time; non-exempt; 40 hours a week with full benefits
