Job Summary

Reports to: Director of Advancement

Description: The Manager of Annual Fund and Community Events is an integral member of
the Advancement teams of both Overbrook School (OS) and St. Cecilia Academy (SCA). This
position supports the overall work of advancement for the two schools through the successful
coordination and implementation of Annual Fund programming and the execution of specific
events. The Manager works collaboratively with the Director of Advancement, the Director of
Donor Relations, and members of the OS and SCA advancement teams.

Job Responsibilities

Primary Position Responsibilities:
• Successfully execute all aspects of the Annual Fund campaigns for OS and SCA to
increase support among faculty and staff, parents of current students, grandparents of
current students, alumni/ae, parents of alumni/ae, grandparents, and friends.
• Support the Annual Fund committees of both schools and provide regular communication
on progress.
• Contact identified prospects and cultivate personal relationships in a way that is strategic,
coordinated, and respectful of donor wishes, particularly for shared campus donors.
• Assist in identifying donor prospects at various levels to support fundraising strategies.
• In collaboration with the Director of Advancement, develop and produce donor materials
and targeted marketing and solicitation messages to support the Annual Fund campaigns.
• Assist in preparation of solicitation, acknowledgment, and pledge collections letters.
• Provide support and direction for parent association events – both fundraising and
community-building activities.
• Serve as a key team member in executing donor cultivation events.
• Work with the advancement services staff to ensure proper and timely stewardship, gift
accounting, reporting and acknowledgment.
• Recommend and implement initiatives to increase donor acquisition and retention.
• Analyze and report on fundraising tactics and revenue goals on a regular basis.
• Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
This is a full-time, 12-month position. Hours will vary based on needs and events.

Qualifications

Requirements:
• An openness to the teachings of the Catholic Church and the Christ-centered work of
Catholic schools
• Commitment in word and action to the mission and values of Overbrook School and St.
Cecilia Academy, schools owned and operated by the Dominican Sisters of St. Cecilia
• B.A., B.S. or equivalent degree
• Three to five years of experience in development, communications/marketing, non-profit,
or related work
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• A working knowledge of the psychology, principles and techniques of personal
solicitation, and volunteer recruitment and management
• Results-oriented and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, with a
demonstrated ability to meet deadlines
• Models a strong work ethic and self-discipline, with excellent attention to detail
• Possesses good judgment, professionalism, and a commitment to maintaining strict
confidentiality
• A demonstrated ability to be flexible and work independently as well as a member of a
team
• Displays willingness to grow professionally and take on increased responsibilities as the
advancement office expands
• Ability to attend after-hours events
• Familiarity with computerized data management programs and their application in a
development setting
• Experience with Raiser’s Edge a plus
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and working knowledge of social media in advancing
the missions of both schools
