Job Summary
Provides leadership and direction for the management, reporting, compliance, quality, implementation, and evaluation of Promising Scholars and of the 21st CCLC and LEAPs grants.
Job Responsibilities
What you will do
- Oversees the program management of the 21st CCLC and LEAPs grants and the implementation of the Promising Scholars, including monitoring, program quality, and compliance reporting.
- Collaborate with district departments and stakeholders to manage and support district initiatives, programs, and partnerships related to extended learning and summer programs and support goals and outcomes.
- Provides direct support, supervision, and evaluation to Program Specialists.
- Collects, compiles, and reviews documentation required for auditing and monitoring.
- Keeps abreast of federal, state, and local laws, policies, and regulations for out-of-school time program administration and summer learning legislation.
- Supports the Coordinator of Extended Learning with procurement and contracting of Extended Learning and summer programs and all associated grants and funding. Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal funding requirements.
- Provide direction and support of data collection and continuous program quality improvement efforts for Extended Learning.
- Oversees program quality as related to grant guidelines and expectations. Stays abreast of current quality program practices related to but, not limited to, academic and positive youth development.
- Collects, shares, and analyzes data related to grantee participation.
- Provides instructional and organizational support for Extended Learning projects, including but not limited to, professional development, summer learning, and student learning opportunities.
Qualifications
Education
- Master’s Degree in related field Preferred
Experience
- Experience/education in Early Learning Preferred
Skills and Abilities
- Communication skills and ability to work in a highly collaborative environment.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with administrators, teachers, students, the community, and administrative staff
- Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills, and the ability to develop positive working relationships with a diverse population of students, parents, community, college faculty, staff, administrators, and the general public
- Must possess skills in the use of personal computers to input data, track participants, organize, document activities, and produce reports.
- Demonstrates ability to initiate and follow through on moderate to high complexity projects, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
